- ✅ Online stores
- ✅ Custom order businesses

Important: Each person who uses the files needs to purchase their own license. You cannot share your purchased files with employees, team members, or contractors.
Do I Need to Credit Creative Makery?
No, credit is not required! You do not need to mention Creative Makery in your product listings or anywhere else. However, we always appreciate it when you do! ❤️
Optional Ways to Show Love:
- Tag us on social media (@CreativeMakery)
- Share photos of your finished products
- Leave a review on your purchased design
- Mention “Design by Creative Makery” in your listings (optional)
What you CANNOT say:
- ❌ “Original design by [Your Business Name]”
- ❌ Claim you created the design
- ❌ Imply the design is your intellectual property
Are There Quantity Limits?
No quantity limits! You can make and sell as many physical products as you want.
Examples:
- ✅ Make 5 shirts → OK
- ✅ Make 500 shirts → OK
- ✅ Make 5,000 shirts → OK
However: If you’re sending files to a mass production factory (not creating items yourself), that is NOT permitted under our commercial license.
💡 Gray Area: Screen Printing Shops
If you OWN the screen printing business: ✅ You can use our designs
If you’re sending files to someone else’s shop: ❌ Not permitted (they would need to purchase their own license)
Exception: You can send physical mockups/samples to a printer without sending the actual files.
Can I Use Designs in Mockups?
Yes! You can use our designs in product mockups for your listings.
Mockup Examples:
- ✅ Create mockup images for Etsy/Shopify listings
- ✅ Show designs on t-shirt mockups, mug mockups, etc.
- ✅ Use mockup generators (Placeit, Printful, Printify, etc.)
- ✅ Share mockup photos on social media to promote your products
- ✅ Use in advertisements
You CANNOT:
- ❌ Sell the mockup images as digital downloads
- ❌ Sell mockup templates with our designs included
- ❌ Share raw design files with mockup creators
Can I Use for Print-on-Demand?
This is a common question with a nuanced answer:
✅ ALLOWED – If you control the files:
- ✅ Upload designs to YOUR OWN Printful/Printify account
- ✅ Use Etsy Print-on-Demand where YOU upload and manage files
- ✅ Amazon Merch on Demand (you upload, Amazon prints)
- ✅ Any POD service where you retain control of the files
❌ NOT ALLOWED – If the platform gets the files:
- ❌ Uploading to public design libraries
- ❌ Submitting to design marketplaces for others to use
- ❌ Allowing the POD company to resell your designs
⚠️ Key Principle
As long as YOU control the files and are using them to create products YOU sell, you’re good! The moment the files become available to others (even indirectly), that crosses the line.
Still Have Questions?
Common Scenarios:
Q: Can I use designs for my church/nonprofit fundraiser?
A: Yes! Creating products for fundraising sales is permitted.
Q: Can I make items as gifts (not selling)?
A: Absolutely! Personal use is always allowed.
Q: Can I hire someone to press my shirts?
A: Yes, if you provide the physical vinyl/transfer (not the digital file). They’re just providing a service (pressing), not using the design.
Q: Can I use designs in my logo or branding?
A: You can use them in marketing materials, but you cannot trademark our designs or claim them as your brand’s unique intellectual property.
Q: What if my business grows really big?
A: Congrats! You can continue using our designs as your business grows. There’s no “expiration” on the commercial license based on business size or revenue.
Q: Can I edit/modify the designs?
A: Yes! You can resize, change colors, combine elements, add text, etc. The commercial license applies to your modified versions too.
Q: Do I need a business license to use commercial license?
A: Our commercial license doesn’t require you to have a registered business. However, check your local laws about selling – some areas require business licenses for any sales activity.
Q: Can I use the same design I purchased for multiple businesses?
A: If you own all the businesses and you’re the one using the files, yes. If different people run different businesses, each would need their own license.
📋 Quick Summary
✅ DO: Make & sell physical products
❌ DON’T: Resell or share digital files
When in doubt, ask yourself:
“Am I selling something physical that I made?”
If YES → You’re good! ✅
If NO → Probably not allowed ❌
